Ronald Radakovich

Ronald Ron Radakovich retired as Vice-President of Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation. A Minnesota native he holds  a B.S. and Master’s degrees from the University of Minnesota. His parents emigrated from Lika and Bosna. Ron serves on several Boards of Directors, including the Byzantine American Alliance of Northern California and the Patriarch Athenagoras Orthodox Institute at the University of California, Berkeley. Former Vice-President of the Western American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church and Executive Committee member of the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) of Northern California, he is currently the Counselor Emeritus of the Serbian Orthodox Church-Western American Diocese. He is a Serbian Unity Congress Board member.

He and his wife Mickey live in Walnut Creek, California, and they have two sons, Steve and Mike. With the blessing and support of His Grace Bishop Maxim, as Circle of 100 Chairperson, Radakovich and his wife Mickey, began an ambitious Diocesan fundraising campaign to raise $300,000 for the rebuilding of our Holy Monastery Hilandar on Mount Athos. Their vision motivated and enabled them to inspire 100 individuals/families to become benefactors, donating $1,000 a year for three years.

Steve Tesich

Steve Tesich was an American Oscar-winning (1980) screenwriter, playwright and novelist.

Tesich was born on September 29th, 1942 as Stojan Tešić in Uzice, Yugoslavia (now Republic of Serbia) and emigrated to the USA with his family when he was 14 years old. They settled in East Chicago, Indiana, and Tesich later graduated from Indiana University in 1965, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity..

The present volume is a collection of presentations delivered at the St Maximus the Confessor International Symposium held in Belgrade at the University of Belgrade from 18 to 21 October 2012.
