Oksana Germain completed her Bachelor’s degree in May of 2018 at the Eastman School of Music in the studio of Nelita True. Currently, she is attending Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz, Austria as a graduate student in the studio of Oleg Marshev. Her childhood dream of playing piano with a symphony orchestra came true when she was chosen as one of the San Diego Symphony’s Young Artist “Hot Shots” Competition winners in 2010. She performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1, 1st movement with the San Diego Symphony at their 100 Year Anniversary Gala in December of that year. She was also invited to perform in the San Diego Symphony's Children's Concert Series “Bravo, Beethoven!” in May, 2010. Oksana also performed in the La Jolla Music Society's Discovery Series Prelude Concerts in 2012, and was a regularly featured performer for the Music 101 Radio broadcast on San Diego’s classical station 104.9 FM. In addition, she has been a featured soloist with the Tifereth Israel Community Orchestra performing Addinsell’s Warsaw Concerto and Beethoven’s Concerto No. 3.

Oksana has garnered awards nationally and internationally. Her musical depth at the piano impressed an international audience, where she was awarded a People's Choice Award at the 2011 Klaviersommer Piano Festival in Germany. Among other prizes, Oksana was a winner of the 2014 RB Chorale Scholarship Competition. She has won three 1st Place prizes in the San Diego VOCE Chamber Music Competition, as well as a 3rd Place in the state division. She was the First Place Gold Medalist in the California International Young Artist Competition MusicFest in 2006 and 2008, and is a three-time recipient of the San Diego Women's Club Associated Arts Scholarship. Most recently, Oksana was a finalist in the 2014 Eastman School of Music Piano Concerto Competition as a freshman, performing Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2.

Prior to her journey through college as an undergraduate, Oksana also studied chamber music under the direction of Michael and Irina Tseitlin in San Diego, Delores Stevens and Doug Masek of the Young Musician Foundation Chamber Music Series in Los Angeles, as well as Irina Dokshitsky and Jennifer Showalter of the Junior Chamber Music Series in Los Angeles.

Oksana was blessed to study with the late Vitaly Margulis at the age of 13 for two years. After his passing in 2011, Oksana continued her studies with Dr. Sarkis Baltaian of Los Angeles before being accepted into the studio of Prof. Nelita True at the Eastman School of Music. She is the recipient of the Howard Hanson, Phillip Farish and Avis D Vaughn Scholarship Awards.
