Међународни конгрес „Никола Тесла – историја будућности“ одржаће се од 24. до 26. априла 2015. у Београду у Сава Центру у организацији Министарства просвете, Канцеларије за дијаспору, Музеја Никола Тесла и Електротехничког факултета у Београду. Окупиће светске ауторитете из различитих научних области којима се бавио Никола Тесла, од физике и електотехнике до медицине и религије.

„Ако будем имао среће да остварим барем неке од својих идеја то ће бити доброчинство за цијело човјечанство. Ако се те моје наде испуне, најслађа мисао бит ће ми та да је то дијело једног Србина.“ – рекао је Никола Тесла током посете Београду 1892. године.

Savatije Sava Ljubicic

Savatije Sava Ljubicic [Savatije Sava Ljubičić, Саватије Сава Љубичић], highly acclaimed Yugoslav composer, was born in 1931, in Cacak, Serbia. He comes from a well known family of musicians with Savatije Ljubicic being the only family member to be a composer. His first musical training began at the age of three when he was at his father’s music school. While listening to the Serbian country songs and dances, he was taught how to play the accordion. His father Miloje Ljubicic, also known as one of Serbia’s best flute builders, opened the music school in Cacak in order to teach farmers’ young children how to be able to play, appreciate and enjoy the Serbian country music its rich folklore The school was opened in 1933, the year when Ljubicic’s father as a singer and accordion player wins the highest award given to outstanding vocalists and musicians in former Yugoslavia.

An Exhibit of Byzantine and Modern Orthodox Icons

Residents of Heaven is a book of Icons by Father Stamatis Skliris which were prepared for "An Exhibit of Byzantine and Modern Orthodox Icons" held at the "David Allan Hubbard Library, Fuller Theological Seminary" in Pasadena, California, June 10 - July 5, 2010.

The iconographer, V. Rev. Stamatis Skliris, attended the opening of the exhibit with His Grace, Bishop Maxim who gave the Introduction. The mounting of the display was done by Jasminka Gabrie and the staff of the Fuller Library. The opening event was organized by Dr. William Dyrness, Director of the Visual Faith Institute, Brehm Center for Worship, Theology and the Arts, Fuller Seminary.
