Milan Panic

The story of Milan Panic is a very American story – emblematic of the people who made America what it is today. America is a nation of immigrants and Panic possesses the very qualities of first generation immigrants who turned America into an economic powerhouse: boundless optimism, a burning desire to succeed, and an enormous appetite for work.

Milan Panic is the founder and owner of MP Global Enterprises and Associates LLC, headquartered in Costa Mesa, California. The company focuses on both business and humanitarian issues around the world.

.

The infectious impact of his personality on his closest colleagues helps explain the phenomenal growth of ICN Pharmaceuticals, the company he founded over forty years ago. It was his strategic vision to expand over the oceans and seas that placed the Company in a position to benefit from the emerging globalization of the world economy in the new millenium.

Milan Panic entered politics at the beginning of the nineties after being elected by the Parliament of Yugoslavia to serve as Prime Minister of his native land. He fought bravely against a dictator and forged a path to democracy. He is regarded by most Serbs today as one man who helped redeem their sense of national pride.

Milan Panic made the American dream a reality. By any measure his career is an extraordinary one.

The Hagia Sophia

The Mystical Light of the Great Church and its Architectural Dress

by Charalambos P. Stathakis

Dear reader, as you run like the rest of us along the dizzy main road, stop, stay aside for a while. Let the others be dizzy, and take the secret underground trail, which will lead you through the dewdrops of the leaves, the crystal smile of the sun, the city’s underground galler- ies, your knowledge, and your feelings, to the doorstep of the Hagia Sophia. Because all dew- drops, all sunrays, and all beauty lead there. That is what you will be told by my friend, the author, whom I am fond of and whom I send you to, Charalambos Stathakis: the doctor, the warm and humane researcher, the scientist devoted to his work and his patients, who has given a series of scientific papers, who, nevertheless, retains a nest of beauty untouched in his heart, which makes him outstanding—even though he is not a specialist in architecture, nor a historian, nor a theologian, nor a Byzantinist—it makes him stand out in all these together and in entirety.
