Станковићев „Раж” номинован за студентског Оскара

Краткометражни играни филм „Раж” Горана Станковића, снимљен на руском језику у Калифорнији, званично је од стране Америчке академије за филм и науку номинован за Оскара за студентски филм.

Станковић је овај филм снимио као магистранд Америчког филмског института, а захваљујући изврсним резултатима недавно је добио и стипендије од ХФП асоцијације која додељује годишње Златне глобусе и фондације Ричарда Х. Френка, некадашњег челника „Дизнија” и председника Америчке академије за филм.

Станковићев филм „Раж” номинован је у категорији играног студентског филма заједно са још осам финалиста са осталих америчких филмских универзитета. Церемонија доделе студентских Оскара заказана је за 7. јун у ДГА театру у Холивуду.

Jelena Kovačević

Jelena Kovačević is a Serbian American engineering professor, whose research has focused on signal processing and data science. She is the first female dean of the engineering school at New York University.

Kovačević became head of NYU's Tandon School of Engineering in 2018, the first woman to do so in the school's 164-year history. From 2014-2018, she was department head of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to that, she was a professor of biomedical engineering at Carnegie Mellon, which she joined in 2003. She was also an adjunct professor at Columbia University and worked at Bell Laboratories in New Jersey from 1991-2002.

The present volume is a collection of presentations delivered at the St Maximus the Confessor International Symposium held in Belgrade at the University of Belgrade from 18 to 21 October 2012. The papers and discussions in this volume of the proceedings of the Belgrade Symposium amply attest to the reputation of Saint Maximus the Confessor as the most universal spirit of the seventh century, and perhaps the greatest thinker of the Church.
