Šta se sve na ovom svetu promenilo u četvrtak u jedan popodne, kada je sa beogradskog aerodroma poleteo avion, jedan od mnogih tog dana? Ko to zna. Ali jesu život četvorogodišnje Marijane, iz Kraljeva, i njene nove majke, Amerikanke Linde Rahal. Njih dve će posle nekoliko presedanja završiti u glavnom gradu Sjedinjenih Američkih Država, novom domu za Marijanu i, od petka, potpuno drugačijem za Lindu.

Kada bi o njihovoj sudbini neko snimao film, po scenariju kojem je pisac nepotreban, jer ga je ispisao sam život, prva scena odigrala bi se dve i po godine ranije u Lindinom stanu u Vašingtonu.

Festival je počeo 26. februara i traje do 10. marta. Naš film učestvuje u selekciji "Global Landscapes Film Competition" i imaće tri projekcije, a predviđen je i razgovor publike sa autorima.

Катедра за медицинску физику универзитета Харвард у Бостону за свог новог професора изабрала је Србина, др Ивана Бузуровића (39), чија је специјалност медицинска роботика. Решење о постављењу добио је 18. фебруара ове године, а у новој радној средини биће свечано представљен 18. марта.

Ivan Tasovac, Director of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, and Igor Jecl, Chairman of the Belgrade Philharmonic Foundation, are visiting New York in the period 20–22 February 2013, for the Steering Committee meeting of the foundation American Friends of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra.

Београдски хор Viva Vox доживео је синоћ овације на новогодишњем концерту поводом председавања Србије 67. заседањем Генералне скупштине Уједињених нација (УН), који је у пуној сали Генералне скупштине УН у Њујорку завршен извођењем „Марша на Дрину”.

"Зашто је Тесла важан" назив је тродневне конференције посвећене Николи Тесли, која данас почиње у Њујорку, у хотелу Њујоркер, у коме је један од највећих технолошких генија 20. века провео последњих 10 година живота и где је 7. јануара 1943. и умро.

The morning began with the faithful of the community from St. John’s, as well as those of its sister churches St. Stephen Serbian Orthodox Church (Milwaukie, Oregon) and St. Martin the Merciful Russian Orthodox Church (Corvallis, Oregon) gathering at the gate to welcome the bishop. With bells, singing, and loving joy the bishop was greeted on his return to Eugene.

Preceding the Liturgy, Bishop Maxim tonsured Professor Alexander Polishchuk a reader. Professor Polishchuk is a mathematics professor of the University of Oregon and has faithfully served as St. John’s choir director for six years. He is the husband of Dr. Maria Nemirovskaya, the president of St. John’s Executive Board. They are the parents of three children. The parish rejoiced to witness the solemn tonsuring and prayers of the Bishop for its new reader.
